ASMW FA – Robert Anton
Who is Robert Anton and why does he smile so much? That is the constant question that I get from subscribers, friends, and, sometimes even family. I see myself as a workaday musician just looking to make a living at what he loves to do: sing. I’m a singer, songwriter, and a burgeoning music publisher who moved to New York years ago with a dream; a simple dream to make music…for a living.
So far I’ve succeeded in doing just that, and I feel so blessed every day of my life. A dancer friend said to me, “You have a reason to get out of bed every morning”. Don’t we all? When you really love what you do, there’s sunshine all around you and nothing can keep you down for long.
I first encountered AmieStreet from Cdbaby.com. I had never heard of them until I was sent a link to say that my first CD, In Time, would now be available on it. I trust Cdbaby to do what’s best for my interests, so I simply went to see what this site was all about. I love it. So many diverse kinds of music. Some free, some low cost. I felt honored to be a part of the musical offerings.
Now my most recent CD, Insane, is also available on the site and I was contacted for the feature here after letting all my twitter, myspace, youtube, facebook, and other social networking followers know that they could download the CD for free or at very little cost. Who doesn’t like a discount, something for free, something they can possess instantly at the click of a few keys?
You can find out more about me at robertanton.com (my official website) or youtube.com/robertantonnyc (where I do a video blog about the music business, post music videos, vlogs, performances, and anything that comes to mind).
Thanks so much to Mark Pipkin at Amie St. Music Wednesday for getting in touch with me through twitter. I appreciate the Love, bro.
